Life Per Hit

Life Per Hit is a modifier that will give your character a certain amount of Life each time you hit an enemy. Instead of gaining Life based on a percentage of damage done, Life Per Hit gives Life to your character, with every successful hit on enemies.

This Life Per Hit modifier can be found on certain Equipment and also on particular Skills. Some Skills even give Life each time you use them.

Note: You can socket your weapon with an Amethyst and this will give you more Life Per Hit. A Chipped Amethyst (Lowest Grade) will give you +2 Life Per Hit, while a (Highest Grade) will give you +600 Life Per Hit. The most cost effective Gem in my opinion is the Star Amethyst which gives 300+ Life Per Hit.


Life Per Hit is most effective when used with weapons that have a faster attack speed (1.4+).  I believe Monks benefit most from Life Per Hit and Barbarians can also greatly benefit from increased Life Per Hit as well.

Note: Increased Attack Speed will increase the total number of hits you do per minute, which will ultimately lead to a greater total life gain. Also, Life Steal is a % of damage done you will want to have at least 2.5% Life Steal and a high DPS weapon. Also make sure to get gear with your character's offensive attribute (Eg. Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence
