Diablo 3 Monk
The Diablo 3 Monk Skills include Spirit Generator Skills, Spirit Spender Skills and Mantras. With the ability to wield Fist Weapons, Spirit Stones or Daibos, the Monk can deal out large amounts of close range damage and use Mantras to protect themselves. The Monk is one of the better DPS classes, but cannot take too much damage. Instead the Monk relies upon Dodge and Stuns to dispatch and defeat enemies.
Skill Resource: Spirit
The Diablo 3 Monk Skills are fueled by an energy known as Spirit. Spirit allows the Monk to unleash more powerful attacks. Spirit is needed for Spirit Spender Skills and Mantras and can be generated by Spirit Generator Skills. There are also ways to Generate More Spirit, Reduce Spirit Costs and Increase Spirit Regeneration.
Class Type: Melee, DPS
The Monk deals most damage to enemies in close range. Although the Monk cannot take as much damage as the Barbarian, it can Stun enemies and Dodge attacks to avoid damage. The Monk is also probably the quickest class in terms of movement speed and attack speed. This speed advantage allows the Monk to quickly close the gap on enemies and deal a large amount of damage in a short period of time.
Mantras
Mantras are unique auras that give bonuses which can also be shared by nearby allies. The basic bonuses from these Mantras include Increased Chance To Dodge, Reflect Damage, Increased Life Regeneration and Increased Damage Done To Enemies. The Skill Rune effects of each Mantra will improve that particular Mantra or add an additional effect. You can only have one Mantra active at a time.
