Beating Inferno Difficulty Solo

Guide Soloing Inferno Difficulty In Diablo 3
It is hard enough beating Diablo 3 Acts 1-4 in Hard Difficulty with an experienced team of D3 players. Beating Inferno Difficulty, even with a well a organized group, is extremely difficult. How about beating Acts 1-4 in Inferno Difficult by yourself? Is it even possible to solo Inferno?

Can You Solo Diablo 3 From Normal To Inferno?
If you have just reached Inferno Difficulty in Diablo 3 for the first time, Inferno may seem nearly impossible to beat. The Elite Monsters seem to be immune to all types of damage and you often find your character dying from only one or two hits. Though it may seem impossible, Inferno Difficulty in Diablo 3 can be soloed. If you find this hard to believe, then continue reading for more information on how to solo Inferno.

Why Am I Having Trouble In Inferno Difficulty?
First of all, most players who find Inferno nearly impossible to get through have just beaten Acts 1-4 on Hard Difficulty. These players most likely had group help in Hard Mode and do not have very good gear, nor have an understanding of the Monster Packs and Bosses in Inferno Difficulty. Inferno is no joke and only best players can beat Inferno, let alone beat it Solo.

So How Can I Solo Inferno Difficulty in Diablo 3?
There are many different ways to improve upon your character in order to prepare you for Inferno. Learning the individual strengths and weaknesses of Inferno Monsters, Elite Monsters and Bosses will also give you a great advantage. The following tips will definitely help you in Soloing Inferno:

#1. Upgrade Gear/Equipment- One of the most important factors in determining how well you will do in Inferno has a lot to do with the Gear that you equip your character with. If this is your first character in Inferno, you will want to farm Hard Difficulty for better gear. Your other option is to Farm Gold in Hard Difficulty and then buy gear from the Auction House or Craft Weapons and Armor from the Blacksmith.

#2. Focus On Class Specific Attributes- You will want to obtain Gear that gives added bonuses to your Attributes, depending on your class. For example, a Monk would want to look for Gear with +Dexterity as Dexterity increases both damage and Dodge Chance for the Monk. If you are just starting out in Inferno, you should really not focus on Modifiers such as +Gold Drop % or +Experience Gain % (You will probably be level 60 by this point anyway). More Life, Resistances, Armor, Damage are the types of bonuses you should be looking for when choosing better Gear.

#3. Increase Defenses- Increasing Defensive Stats is extremely important when dealing with Inferno monsters. You can easily get one-shotted by Elite Monsters if your Life, Armor or Resistances are not high enough. For added bonuses, choose Skills that Increase Armor, Reduce Damage, Dodge Chance, Resistances, etc. Inferno Difficulty has tons of monsters that can deal Elemental Damage, so increasing all types of Resistances is just as important as improving your other Defensive stats. Improve your character's defenses and you will last much longer in Inferno.

#4. Use Followers & Companions- Playing Solo does not mean you can't have a little bit of help. Make sure you use the Follower who has Skills that can best complement your particular Character. For example, if you are a Ranged DPS class (Eg. Demon Hunter, Witch Doctor, Wizard) use the Templar to tank and absorb damage for you. A Barbarian or Monk may want a Follower for extra DPS such as the Scoundrel or Enchantress. Also be sure to utilize each Class' Companion Skill, to divert attention and damage from your character.

#5. Be Cautious- Do not take Inferno lightly, Monsters are not only more powerful, but they also have increased AI (Artificial Intelligence). This means that Monsters will actively pursue you, not resting until you or themselves are dead.

If you just run into a pack of Elite Monsters, you will get swarmed and quickly be killed. Instead, move through Inferno Difficulty cautiously and only take on small groups of monsters at a time. Aside from playing Diablo 3 in Hardcore Mode, Soloing Inferno is the riskiest and most dangerous task in Diablo 3.

Your first play-through of Inferno will be the slowest and most difficult by far. As you obtain better gear and learn more about Diablo 3, beating Inferno will become easier and easier. Follow this General Inferno Guide and you will be able to Solo Diablo 3 before you know it. An in-depth guide to Soloing Inferno will also be added to this site in the future, so Stay Tuned!
