Diablo 3 Guilds & Clans

Unfortunately there will not be any support from Blizzard for Guilds or Clans in Diablo 3. In fact the Guild/Clan system will be a lot like it was in Diablo 2. For those who didn't play Diablo 2, people made Guilds/Clans in the chat channels.

In Diablo 3, Guilds and Clans will be created by players in two main ways:

#1. Battlenet Chat- Players will add Clan members and friends to their friends list on Battlenet. Players will be able to play with each other and know when each member is online. Not only that, but with the addition of the Banner System, Banners, "will have multiple components that can be earned through various modes of gameplay. Completing different parts of the game at different difficulty levels, defeating bosses, earning achievements in PvP, and earning various other achievements will unlock ways for players to customize their banner and show off their progress in the game."- Bashiok

Players will be able to customize their banners similarly to their Guildmates or Clan Members. This is one feature that Guilds and Clans will definitely enjoy.

#2. Guild Sites- Some fan sites are already up promoting their Guilds for Diablo 3. The best Guild sites have a community and forums where members can interact with each other. There are even sites that will promote your Guild so that new members can find and join your Guild.

Although no official system is in place for Guilds or Clans in Diablo 3, be assured that there will be many unofficial Diablo 3 Guilds and communities that you can join. Good Luck!
