Diablo 3 Gold Farming
The best Gold farmers find the optimal ways to gain the maximum amount of gold per hour. This involves finding the best farming spots, monsters and the best Class builds for killing groups of monsters.
Item Farming is also common in MMORPGs, but due to the random drops, stats and affixes, specific Item Farming will not be possible in Diablo 3. In other words, specific items do not drop from specific monsters in Diablo 3, instead drops are random.
Best Ways To Farm Gold In Diablo 3
1. Farm Inferno- By far the most difficult, but best place to farm for Gold. Powerful monsters reside in Inferno Difficulty, and Act 4 in Inferno Difficulty inhabits the most powerful monsters in Diablo 3. Defeating these monsters will net you the largest amount of Gold per monster killed. For maximum farming efficiency you will need to have your farming character at max level with the best gear for your character's particular Class. You will gain the most Gold per hour in Inferno Difficulty.
2. Use AoE Abilities- The Best Gold Farmers can kill hundreds of monsters every hour. Using Area of Effect Abilities you can destroy large groups of monsters in seconds. Every Class in Diablo 3 has a variety of AoE Skills that can be used on enemies. The Demon Hunter, Witch Doctor and Wizard seem to be the best Classes for farming gold, but all classes can be built to farm in Diablo 3. A full list of Area of Effect Skills in Diablo 3 can be found Here.
3. Best Farming Builds- The Class Builds for Gold Farming will focus largely on Area of Effect and Multiple Target Abilities. These builds will also focus on maximizing the total amount of damage you can deal per second. The reason for this is that More Damage Per Second= More Monsters Killed Per Minute = More Gold Drops Per Hour. Not only that, but the optimal Gold Farming builds will ensure that your character does not run out of his or her respective Skill Resource while Farming (Eg. Fury, Spirit, Arcane Power). This will translate into wasted time, a gold farmer's worst enemy.
4. Don't Waste Time- It is extremely important to be efficient while Gold Farming, and you should really focus on avoiding wasted time. Less time Gold Farming directly translates into less Gold farmed per hour. One of the biggest time wasters is dying. Not only do you have to run all the way back to the farming spot, but you also have to spend Gold on repairs.
Higher level gear becomes more expensive to repair and can really diminish your Gold stash. Another time waster that you will want to avoid is constantly comparing item drops. Instead let your inventory fill up with items that you can sell to vendors for a decent amount of Gold. Basically limit the amount of runs you make back and forth to town and you will be a much more efficient Gold Farmer.
Make sure that you equip gear that gives +% to Gold Find. With this modifier you can increase the amount of dropped Gold by 2 times, 3 times or even more. The Demon Hunter Skill Ferret Companion will also increase the amount of Gold that will drop from enemies. Try to look for Gear on the Auction House that gives you +% to Gold Find.
